School Improvement Leadership Academy

The School Improvement Leadership Academy (SILA) is a two-year leader development initiative that provides comprehensive, evidence-based professional learning opportunities to leaders of high-need schools in 浪花直播 and New Jersey.

SILA was developed with funding from the Supporting Effective Educator Development (SEED) grant awarded to the 浪花直播 Center for Educational Innovation & Improvement (CEii). 浪花直播 and its partners at Learning Forward and the Center for Teaching Quality identified the need for an academy that strategically addresses the developmental needs of current sitting principals and assistant principals (APs) as well as prepare those APs aspiring to become principals. SILA focuses on developing three strands of leadership capacity, including (1) improvement leadership; (2) equity leadership, and (3) instructional leadership.
