AmeriCorps Scholarship

The College of Education is proud to support AmeriCorps alumni who wish to continue their service by becoming teachers! As an , we provide scholarship funds to individuals who have successfully completed full-time service with AmeriCorps. 

Americorps Schools of National Service Badge

Eligibility:

  • AmeriCorps alumni who have successfully completed their full-time term of service with AmeriCorps. Those who have successfully completed part-time AmeriCorps programs may be eligible for a prorated award.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in the Master’s Certification program (MCERT), a one-year graduate-level teacher preparation program that leads to teacher certification (elementary, middle, secondary, or PreK-12) and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in curriculum and instruction.
  • Applicants must complete a very brief scholarship application that describes their service with AmeriCorps. 

Award:

Each school year, the College of Education will issue up to five awards of up to $4,000 each.
