Network Improvement Communities (NIC)
Project History
In January 2022, CEii and PGCPS launched two pioneering and collaborative Networked Improvement Communities (NICs) through the chartering of the NIC Hub teams.
This resulted in the School Improvement Networked Improvement ÀË»¨Ö±²¥ (SINC), and the Learning Recovery Networked Improvement ÀË»¨Ö±²¥ (LR-NIC). Both NICs were composed of leaders from a range of district departments and faculty members from ÀË»¨Ö±²¥â€™s College of Education. The School Improvement NIC (SINC) is dedicated to enhancing the integration of improvement science into the district’s school performance planning processes (SPP), and boosting students’ math performance through the advancement of schools’ SPP math goals. The Learning Recovery NIC (LR-NIC) was charged with advancing the district’s recovery efforts from the pandemic shut-down and remote learning loss.
