At the Cognition and Development Lab, my research examines how social interactions shape children's learning, reasoning, and evaluation of information. I focus on two interrelated lines of inquiry. First, I study parent-child interactions, investigating how parents' use of pedagogical questions supports children's cognitive development across diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Second, I explore how social context influences children's questions and explanations, with an emphasis on how they evaluate the credibility of others' claims and the types of evidence used to support them.
